Hardware Monitors
Hardware Monitors keep track of and monitor the hardware's health. For example, the heat output of node hardware is monitored. If it begins to overheat, the node is shut down and jobs are transfered to other available nodes. Many vendors provide hardware monitors to manage their own hardware but not others. Monitors such as Ganglia and Supermon can manage multiple types of hardware environments. Another popular hardware monitor is Nagios.
