Workload Manager

Working in conjunction with one or multiple resource managers, the workload manager acts at a higher level as an advanced scheduler, resource policy engine, event and process policy engine, management and diagnostic consolidation tool, and integration tool to enable an Integrated Cluster Environment. Its capabilities join together to simplify and enhance the the overall administrative, management and end user experience. These additions can increase system utilization of cluster environments to consistently reach 90 to 99%, as well as make the cluster be used in a way that more exacly meets organizational objectives.

While multiple sites have created custom solution to do this, Moab is the only public product that has been generalized and can apply to virtually any HPC environment.
